On Thursday, October 25th, 2012, the Centennial Varsity Volleyball team had their Senior Night against the Howard Lions. The Volleyball team honored Seniors Trisha Mockepetris, Hanna McKowan, and Lexi White-Torruellas before the game with speeches from volleyball players. Also, Coach Larry Schofield made a speech for his senior players before the game highlighting the careers that they have had.

The Centennial Eagles looked dominant winning the first set 25-18. The Howard Lions threatened in the second set, but the Lions couldn’t capitalize on big opportunities. Both teams went back and forth to score, but the Eagles won the second set 25-17. The Eagles struggled in the third set and forced too many errors. The Lions at one point led 17-4 and frustration was in many of the Eagle players’ eyes. The third went to the Howard lion 25-7. The Eagles rallied back in the fourth set with strong play from the whole team. The fourth set went to the Eagles with a score of 25-17. The Eagles won 3-1.
