Centennial Girls’ Golf

On September 8, the Girls’ Golf team faced Marriotts Ridge and Atholton in a tri-match at the Timbers at Troy Golf Course. Unfortunately, they lost by three strokes to Marriotts Ridge.

Their mark of only two losses has the team in high spirits. Sophomore Isabella Trojillo is having a fantastic second season. After going from the fourth player on the squad a year ago, Trojillo is the top player on this year’s team.

“It’s (been) a great season for me. Personally, I’ve dramatically improved my game. I went from being the number four player in the team last year to number one this year, and scoring double digits,” Trojillo said.

This could be the start of a great season for the Eagles, and with young leaders like Trojillo, the future looks bright.
