Leap Year birthdays are extremely rare, considering that the date February 29 only comes around every four years. The chances for someone to be born on Leap Day would only be 1 out of 1,461,according to the law of averages, meaning that there are only 200,000 people in the United States who share this birthday, according to the Huffington Post. Extraordinarily, one of these 200,000 people in the nation attends Centennial High School. Sophomore Kaleb Addisu is celebrating his “fourth” birthday today.

Addisu explained, “I usually celebrate my birthday on March 1st if the year isn’t a leap year because March 1st would be the day that falls right after the 28th of February.”

Addisu added, “ I really don’t plan on doing much [tonight]. I mean I went out for dinner with my mom the other night, but I have a [basketball] game today so I can’t really celebrate unless we win. If we do win though, then that would be enough of a celebration for me.”
