Superintendent Martirano Visits Centennial

Words: Maggie Ju

On Wednesday, November 1, Interim Superintendent Michael Martirano paid a brief visit to Centennial to check how the school was running. Described as “energetic” by one student, he could be seen stepping into various classes throughout the morning, offering encouraging comments to the students and teachers. He also conversed with the principal, Ms. Hafets, and school staff.

Centennial is not the only school Martirano has visited this week; the superintendent has also been to Long Reach, Marriotts Ridge, and River Hill, along with multiple middle and elementary schools.

November marks six months of Martirano’s position as superintendent, as he took up the position in early May of this year.
