On September 13, 2018, Centennials’ Girls Varsity Soccer Team took on Glenelg High School in a tough, head-to-head match. After 100 minutes of play, the game came to an end with a score of 1-1.
Centennial’s only goal came from senior captain, Courtney McVicker. The lead was short-lived, though, as Glenelg was able to break the Eagles defense and even the match.
In overtime, there were several moments where Glenelg had a chance to score, but Centennial’s defensive line was able to keep the ball out of the net. Junior goalie, Ashley Bilger, also made several saves that kept Centennial in the game.
The Eagles will play on Monday, September 17, at Long Reach High School.
