After a 7-10 record for the 2016-2017 season, the varsity baseball team is ready to kick off the new season strong. The seniors on the team are ready to make their final season count.
The team hopes to be stronger and more motivated this year by improving all aspects of their mindset and skill.
Many of the seniors agree they stay motivated on and off the field by telling themselves that since its their final year on the field in high school and that they should make it count.
Senior Alex Crocamo talked about how the team will miss their seniors from last year as well as players this year who are injured, but that their team this year should not be underestimated.
“Missing some of our returners from either injury or other reasons will definitely have an effect on the season,” said Crocamo. “However, I still think we should be contenders in every game we play with the addition of some juniors moving up to varsity this year.”
The hopes are high that this season will memorable and victorious.
