His second single he released for the new album is called “Porch Light,” and it came out on March 13, 2026. This song explores themes of hope and reconciliation, longing for home, strained relationships, grief and loss, and self-reflection.
His fans have waited eagerly for Kahan to release this new album after waiting 4 years since his 3rd studio album Stick Season was released. I went around Centennial and asked Noah Kahan fans for their opinion on the new album coming out and how they felt about Kahan’s music.
Sophomore J.R. Mike, has been a Noah Kahan fan since the start of the pandemic. Mike’s favorite songs by Noah Kahan are “All My Love” and “The Great Divide.” She highlights their relatability and personal touch. Mike expresses excitement for the new album due to Kahan’s lyricism, which she finds relatable and connecting. She compares the upcoming album to Kahan’s previous work, specifically Stick Season, but expects it to be less folky but similar in lyricism and vibes. Mike said she “hopes for another collaboration with Gracie Abrams,” citing their previous song “Everywhere, Everything” as a favorite and appreciates the new songs for their vibes, metaphors, and bridges.
Hannah Elpus, a senior at Centennial, has been a Noah Kahan fan for 3 years. Her favorite song is “Everywhere, Everything” with Gracie Abrams. Elpus appreciates Kahan’s emotional music, which resonates with her feelings. She has attended multiple concerts, including a special guest performance with Gracie Abrams and a solo set at All Things Go. She eagerly awaits the new album, hoping for more collaborations with Gracie Abrams and Lizzie McAlpine. Hannah expects the new album to resemble Stick Season.
Senior Claire Pilcher has been a long time fan since Noah Kahan’s album I Was/ I Am. She expresses excitement for the new album due to Kahan’s unique ability to capture emotions and experiences often underrepresented in the media. She expects the new album will resemble “The View Between Villages.” Pilcher praises the 2 released songs for their musical and emotional depth. She would love collaborations with The Lumineers, Kasey Musgraves and Kelsea Ballerini. She hopes the new album maintains the vibe of previous work by Kahan. Pilcher wishes “Kahan well despite the sadness inherent in his music.”
Senior Maggie Elms has been a fan since 2022. Her favorite Noah Kahan songs are “Carlo’s Song,” “Orange Juice,” “Homesick,” “The View Between Villages,” “Call Your Mom,” and “You’re Gonna Go Far.” Elms likes and appreciates the care and detail Kahan puts into his lyrics. She says that “Kahan’s lyrics are fairly straightforward, but they have a deeper meaning which helps fans relate to him.” She mentions that Kahan is a good person and a good artist, she loves that he’s authentic to his style and himself, and that it’s reflected in his music, concerts, and interactions with fans and the media. Elms likes the released songs, but she’s antsy and impatient for the album’s release. She is hoping the new album is similar to his happier songs, like “All My Love” and “Forever.” Elms thinks Kahan is overdue for some songs that don’t make you want to sob. She would love a good duo, possibly featuring Lizzy McAlpine, Gracie Abrams or Zach Bryan. She would love more of a country vibe in Kahan’s new album. Elms thinks the new album will be similar to Stick Season, but she also sees him possibly going back to more of his old style.
Senior Katie Kelly has been a Noah Kahan fan since 2022. Her favorite song is “Northern Attitude.” Kelly is excited about the new album because she thinks Kahan is a good writer and that he has a good flow with the way he writes his lyrics. She loves the songs that are already out and she loves the message of the song “Porch Light.” Kelly thinks Kahan’s new album will be like his other album, Busy Head, and she hopes the new album will be about finding peace.
