The Centennial Eagles lost to the Glenelg Gladiators 2-1 on Monday,
April 9, 2012. Centennial’s starting pitcher Ben Goldsmith pitched the
entire seven innings but could not get the run support to win the
game. Glenelg’s starter Logan Dubee also pitched the whole seven
innings and ended up winning this game.
Centennial Eagles 4 @ Marriotts Ridge 2
The Centennial Eagles won against the Marriotts Ridge Mustangs 4-2
on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Starting pitcher Garrett Kurtz pitched
seven innings giving up two earned runs while striking out six.
Centennial’s hitting delivered with Areian Vedadi going two for four
with a triple and two runs driven in. Brandon Feurman had two hits and
played solid defense. After the game, Vedadi felt that he had a good
day hitting. “I was seeing the ball really well and felt confident no
matter what the count was,” explained Vedadi.
Hammond Bears 5 @ Centennial Eagles 8
The Centennial Eagles won against the Hammond Bears 8-5 on Friday
April 13, 2012. Starting pitcher Peter Baum pitched four innings
giving up three earned runs in his first start. Pitcher Areian Vedadi
pitched three innings and gave up two earned runs. Brandon Feurman
had a good day going 1-3 with a double and two RBI’s. The Centennial
Eagles hitting continued to come up big winning games and scoring runs
when they had to. The Centennial Eagles will play the River Hill Hawks
at River Hill on April 16, 2012.
