On Tuesday October 31, the Centennial Eagles boys soccer team defeated the Atholton Raiders 3-1 in the second round of the playoffs. The Eagles came out of the gates strong with a goal coming from junior Hamzah Elhabashy within the first three minutes of the game. The first half ended with the score 1-0 being in Centennial’s favor. As the second half begun both teams came out strong. A stunning goal came from senior captain Alex Keppler, putting the Eagles up 2-0. Atholton refused to give up ground and responded with a goal of their own, making the score 2-1. With seven minutes left in the game, Elhabashy scored once more, finishing off the Raiders. The Eagles will play against Mt. Hebron High School on November 3.
