Centennial Tennis Sees Early Success
On Friday, May 14, the Centennial Eagles’ tennis teams played against Mount Hebron High School. The boys won 5-0 against Hebron, and the girls’ team beat Hebron 3-2.
Junior Julian Whang won his match 8-3 to help complete the sweep. The team’s past game was against River Hill in which both teams lost.
In Whang’s eyes, even though they lost to River Hill, ”[their] team’s confidence is through the roof. Everyone is playing better each match, so [he’s] excited to see how far [their] team can go.”
Centennial’s overall record is 4-2 as of May 21, with losses to Marriotts Ridge and River Hill. They have four more games left in the season until they head into the postseason.
