Come one, come all! Liberty in North Korea (LINK) will be hosting auditions for its talent show in Mrs. McCarthy’s room, Room 105, on Tuesday, February 9, and Wednesday, February 10. The school-wide event is on Friday, February 26, and will be held in the auditorium. The talent show is a fundraiser to help raise money to support the charity Liberty in North Korea.
Talent show winners will receive prizes, and one of the winners will be declared the “audience choice,” receiving the biggest reward. Like other competitions the school had held in the past, students will be able to purchase additional tickets to vote for their favorite acts.
All proceeds will go directly towards Liberty in North Korea’s mission of moving North Koreans out of the oppressive country, transporting them to either South Korea or the United States, and helping them readjust to a better life.
“I’m super excited to see our idea come to life this year, and we hope our peers at Centennial High School will come out to support both the cause and their friends performing in the show,” said Tracy Wong, vice-president of the club.
