Centennial’s Girl Up club will be selling rafiki bracelets, which are handmade by Kenyan women, outside of the cafeteria from March 7 – March 11 during all lunches. The profits will go towards providing food, water, healthcare, and education for girls in India.
Members of Girl Up will communicate with the staff at We, an organization that advocates for various causes and in turn empowers the global community, to fulfill their fundraising goals.
“This is a project that all of us in Girl Up are very passionate about. We hope to raise money and awareness for girls in developing countries who don’t have the resources that we take for granted,” said sophomore club member, Jisoo Choi.
