On Tuesday, September 27, 2016 the Centennial Boys’ Varsity Soccer team had a thrilling 1-0 win over Marriotts Ridge High School in the second overtime.
The Eagles and Mustangs went back and forth the whole game and were evenly matched. After full regulation time was over, the game still tied.
In the first overtime, both teams still did not score so the game went to the second overtime. Within about two minutes of the second overtime, the Eagles had a great transition play and junior Nick Haskins had a powerful shot inside of the box which resulted in the game winning goal.
The Centennial Eagles Boys’ Varsity Soccer team’s next game is on Friday, September 30, at Hammond High School at 7:00 PM.
