On Friday, May 5, Centennial Girls’ Lacrosse honored their “señioritas” on Senior Night. The Eagles played against the River Hill Hawks.
Before the game, seniors Ryleigh Ahearn, Laurie Bracey, Gabby Fairley, and Madi Griffin were escorted by their families onto the field and given gifts.
The Eagles quickly took control of the game, scoring multiple goals against the Hawks. Centennial’s defense held off River Hill’s offensive advances and kept them to one goal in the first half. The Eagles had a 10-1 lead going into halftime.
The second half went the same way as the first half and the Eagles scored five more goals to win the game 15-1.
Lead scorers from the game were Bracey (4), freshman Rasa Welsh (4), junior Claudia Pilcher (3), and sophomore Marissa Lagera (2).
The Eagles will play on Wednesday, May 10, against Mt. Hebron in the first round of playoffs.
