Centennial’s Habitat for Humanity club helps to fundraise for affordable housing to help low-income families. This club is led by senior co-presidents Supraja Kanipakam and Alice Xu, and sponsored by Mrs. Jacobsen. The club meets every other Wednesday after school in Room 305, at 2:15 pm.
Focused on raising funds to help rebuild homes, they work with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake to eliminate substandard housing, worldwide and locally. They have a number of events such as doing arts and crafts during the carnival, volunteering at centers, or holding bake sales to raise funds.
Habitat for Humanity is always looking for new members to join their club; anyone is welcome to join. If you want to know more about the club or want to attend events, you are welcome to email them at [email protected], or visit their Facebook page “Centennial Habitat For Humanity”.
