Helen Baldy (freshman)

  1. “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 
  2. From being in online school, my favorite memories are of the jokes and off-topic discussions we had during class.
  3. Returning to in-person learning and getting the actual Centennial experience, sports, school, and clubs.
  4. My greatest achievement so far is balancing both school and competitive extracurriculars, sports and clubs at the same time. 
  5. The camaraderie of sports (Lacrosse and Field Hockey), and I’m looking forward to getting involved in more clubs when we return to in-person learning.

Andrew Chong (freshman)

  1. My favorite movie quote would probably be “Oh yes the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” -Rafiki in the Lion King
  2. I haven’t had many memories in Centennial so far for being a Freshman, but it would probably be near the beginning of the school year when we had breakout Lit circle groups. Every Tuesday, it would be groups and I made some fond memories with that group of people. 
  3. The thing that I am most looking forward to in 2021 would probably be seeing my mom [for the first time] in over a year now. I wasn’t able to travel last year, hopefully it’s safe to travel this year in 2021. 
  4. My greatest achievement so far would probably be making it into High School. As a kid, I never thought I would actually make it to high school but here I am. 
  5. I don’t really have a favorite club or activity yet because I didn’t do much club activities this year and I have not gone to any of the activities so I don’t think I have one.

Gray Ren (they/them) (sophomore)

  1. “I’ll love some littler things”- A Burning Hill. ( it’s a song but they couldn’t think of one from their favorite movie; Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse
  2. Hanging out with other students in GSA, building a community in theater 
  3. Getting the vaccine and hugging my friends once quarantine is over (which will hopefully end this year) 
  4. Getting straight A’s for the first time ever this past quarter 
  5. GSA and theater 

Meghan Creel (junior)

  1. “You are in a spaceship. You’re going to the moon, enjoy the ride.” -Alex Karev in Grey’s Anatomy.
  2. Performing at the 2019 pep rally was very memorable and a fun experience. I also loved when the field hockey team and I ran across the field during the pep rally.
  3. I am looking forward to going back to school even though it’s hybrid. I’m excited to change up my current routine and have more social interaction. I’m also looking forward to (hopefully) a homecoming and a prom.
  4. My greatest achievement was when I purchased my own car.
  5. My favorite activity at Centennial is being able to be a part of the field hockey team. I’ve met such great friends and we always have so much fun, even when we are forced to do sprints.

Philip Wang (senior)

  1. “That’s what the present is. It’s a little unsatisfying because life’s a little unsatisfying.” –Midnight in Paris 
  2. Winning Outstanding Witness at the 2019 Empire Mock Trial Competition. 
  3. Watching more sunrises, overcoming my fear of oil in Chinese recipes, and marathoning through The West Wing. 
  4. Published my research on Isacc Newton’s alchemy and theology in Harvard Synthesis, the Harvard Undergraduate History of Science Journal. 
  5. Spending my Tuesdays, Fridays, and every other Saturday in Room 606 (FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Club!)
