Centennial Boys’ Soccer Competes in the County Championship

On Friday, April 16, the Centennial boys’ soccer team faced off against Marriotts Ridge High School in the county championship game. Marriotts Ridge took a narrow 1-0 victory over the Eagles. Their goal came off of a corner kick in the second half.

“I think our team played pretty well,” junior Andrew Fritz stated despite the loss. “Our defense was solid… we weren’t as composed as we had been so we couldn’t get as much going offensively.”

Going forward, the Eagles are ready for next year, as a large portion of their main core will be returning. Fritz exclaimed, “I think Centennial’s going to be one of the top teams in the county… The rising juniors are hard workers and they’ll be able to fit right into our plan.”
