Fall Sports Playoff Picture
On Saturday, October 23, the varsity boys’ soccer team took on River Hill and won 3-0. The game decided the county champions; if the boys lost, Mount Hebron would have taken the first place sead, so this win was crucial for the Eagles’ placement. Juniors Riley Senisi and Adam Fowble each scored for the Eagles on Saturday.
Centennial will play against Westminster on Saturday, October 30, in their first playoff game.
The girls’ soccer team is ranked fifth in their bracket and won 2-0 against Westminster in the first round of playoffs. Their next game will be away on Friday, October 29, against Marriotts Ridge. Field hockey was ranked third in their division and will be competing away, against Mount Hebron on Monday, November 1.
Cross country competed in counties Wednesday, October 27, as the boys’ placed second behind River Hill. The girls’ team placed fourth. Junior Antonio Camacho placed first with a time of 15:26 and senior Luke Lascasas placed third with a time of 15:49. The Eagles will compete in the regional championship at Centennial on November 4.
