Eagles’ Wrestling Team Slams The Competition

Centennial’s wrestling team returned in a dominant showcase of athleticism on Tuesday, January 11, against Long Reach and River Hill.

Since the winter season’s month-long postponement, athletes were left to train on their own time, as teams were banned practicing together indoors. In December, the superintendent decided to suspend after-school practices and activities due to growing COVID cases. In one of their first matches since the postponement, our Eagles have demonstrated unwavering resilience in proving themselves on the mat.

With a final score of 45-35 against River Hill and  54-0 against Long Reach, everyone in the locker room should be very proud of their performance last night and their determination to come back stronger after the season’s delay.

The team looks forward to their next match against Atholton this Thursday, January 13 @ 4 p.m. Be sure to look out for scores and updates.
