Girls’ Lacrosse Senior Night

Girls' Lacrosse Senior Night

On Wednesday, May 6, the Centennial girls’ varsity lacrosse team celebrated senior night and defeated the Howard Lions. The team honored 11 seniors: Ella Boodin, Emma Bush, Bailey Carpenter, Gabby Graves, Alaina Kelly, Blaire Latona, Callie LasCasas, Julia Littlefield, Lauren Pellegrini, Katherine Roybal, and Zoe Worthy.

Even with rain right before the game, the girls’ smiles shined through. The game remained close throughout, with goals going back and forth. With nine goals scored in the first half, the team was winning 9-8.

“Scoring the first goal was definitely a highlight of the night and the fact it was on senior night in front of all my close family and friends made it even more special,” stated Graves. Four other seniors scored throughout the game, as LasCasas scored twice, Kelly added four, and Roybal contributed a goal as well with a final score of 18-16.

The first playoff game for the girls will be on Wednesday, 5/11 against Howard. The game will be a double header with boys’ lacrosse playing right after. Make sure to come out and support your Eagles!
