National Writing Day

Words: Lien Hoang

Every year on October 20, the National Writing Day is celebrated across the country. The day promotes writing in which educators acknowledge the importance and evolution of writing.

Many students in Advanced Composition volunteered to help out with the events going on around the school.

Centennial High School honored this day by hosting a haiku competition and speaking to many classes about this subject. The winner of the competition will receive a prize filled basket. Those who spoke to the different classes incorporated poetry with the topic the class is learning.
