Centennial Red Cross’s Holiday Gift Drive

    Words: Maggie Ju

The Centennial High School Red Cross Club is holding a holiday gift drive for children at Grassroots. From the club’s tree poster outside the cafeteria, students may pick paper ornaments, which have the names of gift items on the back. Donations should be dropped off in the box in Room 914 by December 15.

Items requested include clothing, toys, and sports equipment. Club members will sort and wrap all collected gifts at Grassroots Family Center on the last day of the drive.

The club’s board said, “We selected the Grassroots Family Shelter because it is one of the closest homeless shelters to Centennial High School, and we wanted to directly help out people in our local community.”

Sharing the mission of the American Red Cross, Centennial Red Cross strives to aid humanitarian efforts and serve the community. The club meets every Friday in Room 914, Mr. Thomas’s room.
