Disney Classics Returning to Screens

There’s no such thing as being too old for a dash of Disney magic. In fact, some of our classic favorites have not quite finished their spectacular journeys on screen. It’s time to kick back, grab a bucket of popcorn, and take a trip down memory lane.  Make sure to be on the lookout for these new revivals!

A Halloween classic is back in the works! It has been almost three decades since the release of Hocus Pocus, the iconic fantasy film following an awakened trio of fiendish witches in Salem. The sequel is expected to come out on Disney+ in the fall of 2022. The original is already out on Amazon Prime and Disney+, to keep viewers entertained before the huge sequel release.

That isn’t all for Disney fans. Confirmed in 2018, Disenchanted, a sequel to the 2007 fairy tale film Enchanted, is also expected to release in 2022. There haven’t been any trailers for either movie just yet, but brief plot synopses have fans preparing for what’s to come.

Hocus Pocus 2:

“Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.” (IMDb)

Disenchanted:

“Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle questions her happiness, inadvertently turning the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process.” (IMDb)

After years of anticipation since the first movies, producers and directors are dealing with the pressure of matching and exceeding the expectations of people who have grown up with these classics. Already, these short and sweet glimpses have fans more than ready to tune in to the movies’ releases and revisit their childhood days.  While there isn’t a set date for either film release, audiences aren’t going to have to wait much longer.
