Centennial’s boys’ varsity basketball team took the W against Oakland Mills last Friday, January 14. 

Right off the bat, fans witnessed a back and forth game as Centennial tried to gain a leg up over the competition. Great defense by both teams kept them at a stalemate until the final seconds of the first quarter. After a timeout, Centennial sophomore Adrien Nyom caught a rebound and scored a layup, making the score 9-11, and keeping the Eagles in the lead for the rest of the game. 

Solid and consistent fundamental gameplay set the Eagles ahead, with outstanding ball movement and defense to shut down the Scorpions. The Eagles towered in victory with a final score of 54-34.
