On April 25, the Centennial softball team celebrated their four seniors and came out with a win against the Atholton Raiders 6-3. The team honored Madison Ceglia, Allison Keen, Jasmin Kim, and Gussie Ruckdeschel.

“We played our best game on senior night with zero errors. It was so fun being out there just having fun,” said Ceglia.

The seniors popped out for this special game. Ceglia pitched a complete game and had five strikeouts. Keen had six putouts and two RBIs and Ruckdeschel had two runners when Atholton tried to steal. Ruckdeschel also finished with two RBIs.

“Winning the game was surreal… we didn’t know if it was gonna go well and then it went very well… we lost to Atholton the week before and it was great to come back and beat them this time, especially on our senior night,” Ruckdeschel explained.

The Lady Eagles will be competing in their next game on Thursday, May 5, away against Long Reach. Wednesday’s game will be a double header due to a makeup game. This means the first game will start at 3:00 p.m. and the second game is intended to start at 4:30 p.m. Make sure to come out and cheer on the softball team!
