On Thursday, November 5, the 3A Cross Country Regional Championship was held at Centennial.
Coming off of a county title, the girls team came away with the regional title for the second time in three years.
Junior Kara Taylor was the top finisher for the Eagles, finishing in third place overall, followed by seniors Jessica Jiang in fourth place, and Devin McIntyre in sixth place.
Freshman Allison Betler came in ninth, while senior Ashley Mazer came in fourteenth, giving the Eagles five top 15 finishes.
The boys team was also successful, placing fourth overall and qualifying for the State Finals. Seniors Andrew Frommer, Will Jackson, and Chris Savage were the top three finishers for Centennial, finishing 18, 21, and 22 respectively. Sophomore Daniel Gao and senior Jacob Rina rounded out the top five for the Eagles, giving them five in the top 30.
The state finals will be on November 14 at Hereford High School.
