Although Winter is technically here, the weather outside is anything but frightful.  Temperatures have been in the 30s and 40s, and by this time last year, there were already several snow days.  However, there have been predictions of much worse weather to come.

From March 17 to 20, Centennial High School will be showing its play, The Drowsy Chaperone, for which rehearsals have already started.  The predictions of inclement weather will undoubtedly affect the rehearsal schedule.

According to junior Frances Kramer, the effect of snow days on play rehearsals depends on what stage in the rehearsal process they occur.

“If there’s a snow day during that time, it messes up the cast’s and crew’s preparation for the shows,” Kramer commented.

Closer to the actual shows are the worst times for inclement weather to strike, especially since the last week of rehearsals is the busiest week of practice, referred to as “tech week.”

Ms. Kathryn Carlsen, the director of the play, has scheduled one weekend day as a make-up for snow days.  With the bad weather coming, Kramer stated that everyone will try their best to rehearse as much as possible.
