Mask Mandate Update

On‌ ‌February‌ ‌24,‌ ‌2022,‌ ‌during‌ ‌a‌ ‌Howard‌ ‌County‌ ‌Board‌ ‌of‌ ‌Education‌ ‌meeting‌ ‌concerning‌ ‌the‌ ‌indoor‌ ‌masking‌ ‌mandate,‌ ‌the‌ ‌board‌ ‌voted‌ ‌6-2‌ ‌to‌ ‌repeal‌ ‌the‌ ‌mandate.‌ ‌As‌ ‌of‌ ‌March‌ ‌1,‌ ‌2022,‌ ‌there‌ ‌will‌ ‌no‌ ‌longer‌ ‌be‌ ‌a‌ ‌universal‌ ‌indoor‌ ‌mask‌ ‌mandate‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌Howard‌ ‌County‌ ‌Public‌ ‌School‌ ‌System.‌ ‌The‌ ‌board‌ ‌emphasizes‌ ‌that‌ ‌students‌ ‌should‌ ‌continue‌ ‌to‌ ‌respect‌ ‌individuals’‌ ‌choices​​‌ ‌regarding‌ ‌masks.‌
